It’s 2017 and we’ve got wellness coming out of our ears. We look ahead to a year peppered with botanicals-based tonics and shots made with turmeric, apple cider vinegar and red ginger as our supermarket shelves and social media feeds are inundated with ‘detox’ foods. By the looks of things, the general wellness trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

From the soup diet to the cereal diet, each year, the latest diet terms cropping up seem to grow more and more bizarre. Google reports that in 2016, the most searched for diets included the ‘taco diet’, the ‘pizza diet’ and the ‘wild diet’. As much as we all love tacos, pizza and our food… erm… wild, these are amongst some of the craziest. Here are a few of the most prolific wellness terms floating around this year and what they actually mean.
