- 1.1L apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 250ml dark rum, optional
- Thinly sliced apples for garnish
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
1) Pour the apple cider into a large saucepan and add the cinnamon sticks and lemon zest. Bring to a boil.
2) Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and strain.
3) Add the dark rum, if desired. Serve warm in coffee mugs, garnished with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.
