  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

How to make Blackened French beans

1) In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the 1 tsp salt. Add the French beans and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the water and immediately place in an ice water bath.

2) In a medium bowl, mix the sea salt, paprika, cayenne, chilli powder, garlic powder, cumin and black pepper together thoroughly. Toss the French beans in the spice mixture.
