Ingredients
- 6 hamburger
- 6 hot dog bun
- 0.50 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
- 1 to taste garlic powder
Method
How to make Budget Minded Homemade Croutons
- Cube buns into small pieces. I like to cut them somewhat frozen easier to cut and keep uniform in size.
- I usually use about 5-6 buns per batch. If you use more than that increase butter and seasoning salt accordingly.
- Melt 1 stick of butter and add about 1 tablespoon of house seasonings. I like to use Paula Deens.
- In large bowl toss cubes with butter mixture. Spread out on a large baking sheet and bake at 300°F until brown and crisp. Remove from oven and sprinkle garlic powder on while still warm.
- These are great warm or when I make them I usually make a huge batch and put the rest in fridge to munch on later.
