Ingredients

  • 1 (750ml) bottle white dinner wine
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 lemon
  • Ice block
  • 2 (750ml) bottles sparkling wine
  • 110g granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 475ml orange juice
  • 240ml pineapple juice

Method

How to make Champagne punch

1) In a saucepan combine the white wine, cloves and cinnamon. Squeeze in the lemon juice, and then add the rest of the lemon.

2) Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and cool completely.

3) Place the ice in a punch bowl. Pour in the spice/wine mixture, sparkling wine, sugar and juices. Stir gently and serve.
