Daiquiri
Ingredients
- 240ml golden rum
- 175ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- 80ml sugar syrup, recipe follows
For the sugar syrup:
- 240ml water
- 225g sugar
Method
How to make Daiquiri
1) In a glass jug, combine the rum, lime juice and sugar syrup.
2) Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the cocktail mixture until the shaker is 2/3 full.
3) Shake for 30 seconds, pour into frosted martini glasses and serve ice cold.
To make the sugar syrup:
1) Bring the water and sugar to a boil and boil until sugar is dissolved. Chill before using.
2) To store, transfer to a jar and place in a cool pantry or refrigerate.
