  • Oil, for frying
  • 4 soft-shell crabs
  • 320g white cornmeal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Method

How to make Deep-fried crabs

1) Preheat frying oil to 180C/Gas 4.

2) Parboil crabs for 10 mins. Roll in cornmeal mixed with salt and pepper.

3) Fry until golden brown for about 2 to 4 mins.
