  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 120ml hot milk (use hot water for a lighter texture)
  • 60ml dark rum
  • 15g butter
  • Ground nutmeg

Method

How to make Dolans' delicious hot buttered rum

1) Warm up a heat-resistant mug by pouring piping hot water into it and covering it with a small plate.

3) When the mug is warm enough, discard the hot water and add brown sugar and hot milk or water to the mug.

4) Stir until the sugar has dissolved and then add the rum.

5) Gently float the butter on top of the drink and sprinkle with nutmeg.
