French bean stir-fry

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 rsp red chilli flakes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 450g French beans, washed and trimmed, cut into 2.5 cm-pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2.5-cm piece ginger, minced
1) Whisk together honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red chilli flakes, salt and pepper, to taste, in a small bowl; set aside.

2) Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet on high heat. Add the French beans and cook, stirring 2 to 3 minutes until dark green and caramelised. Add the garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for 2 minutes longer. Add the sauce, stir to incorporate and heat another minute. Transfer to a serving dish and serve.
