  • 0.75 cup red-hot candies
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 lbs granny smith apple

How to make Grandma Helen's Cinnamon Apples

  • Mix water and sugar in a 5 quart Dutch Oven and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Add the candies and stir until dissolved. When dissolved, reduce the heat and add the apples in a single layer, turning them often and gently. Cook for about 15 minutes
