Grapefruit and ginger punch
Ingredients
- 2 grapefruits, quartered
- 120ml ginger simple syrup, recipe follows
- 2 limes, juiced
- 150ml tequila, blanco
- Lemonade
For the ginger simple syrup:
- 240ml water
- 7.5cm piece peeled and sliced ginger
- 440g granulated sugar
Method
How to make Grapefruit and ginger punch
1) In a large jug or bowl add the grapefruit, ginger simple syrup and lime juice. Muddle, then add tequila and ice.
2) Fill the container with lemonade and garnish with lime wedges
Ginger simple syrup:
1) Add the water, ginger and sugar to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
2) Strain. Leave to cool and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
