Grilled spring onions

  • 1 bunch spring onions, root ends trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
1) Prepare a barbecue or griddle to medium-high heat. Brush the spring onions with olive oil.

2) Lay the spring onions on the griddle until you see distinct griddle marks, about 2 mins. Turn the spring onions over and cook about 1 min more. Transfer to 2 plates and serve warm.
