  • 25g butter
  • 10 shallots, halved or whole pearl onions
  • 250g Brussels sprouts, sliced thinly
  • 1–2 tbsp clear honey
  • A splash of stock or white wine
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

Method

How to make Honeyed Brussels Sprouts

1) Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a low to medium heat. When beginning to foam, add the shallots or pearl onions and fry gently until golden on both sides, about 5 minutes.

2) Add the sprouts along with the honey and stock or wine and cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes, until golden and glazed. Season to taste and serve at once.
