Ingredients
- 125ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 125ml simple syrup (equal amounts caster sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)
- 4 to 5 fresh mint leaves, coarsely chopped
- 175ml whisky (recommended: Jack Daniels black)
- Crushed ice
- Sparkling water
Method
How to make Ju-lito (Hoolito)
1) In a cocktail shaker, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, mint and crushed ice, and shake vigorously. Add the whisky and shake briefly to blend.
2) Pour into a highball glass and top with sparkling water, adding more ice as needed.
