  • 1kg sweet potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 75-125g butter
  • 3 tbsps honey
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method

How to make Mashed sweet potatoes

1) Add the potatoes to a large cast iron cooking pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer or until the potatoes are tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well.

2) Return the potatoes to the cooking pot and add the butter, honey, cinnamon and salt. For more sweetness, add more honey.

3) Beat at medium-low speed with an electric mixer until smooth.

Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot.
