Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 2 cups onion
  • 0.25 teaspoon sage
  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon seasoning
  • 0.50 cup water
  • 1 beef bouillon cubes
  • 4 large potato
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 2 shortcrust

Method

How to make Meat Pie

  • In non stick skillet stir fry onions in just enough water to make tender. Add ground turkey and spices. Stir fry and cook together. Add 1/2 C of water and boullion cube. Simmer 10 minutes, drain slightly and save liquid.
  • Cook potatoes on the side, mash without milk or butter. If potatoes are too dry, add liquid saved from meat. Add to meat mixture and blend well. Add bread crumbs.
  • Place mixture between 2 pie crusts in 9" pie plate. Baste with 1 TBS skim milk. Add steam vents to upper crust. Cook at 375 degrees x1 hour.
