Mix the melted butter into the biscuit crumbs. Press into the base and up the sides of a 23cm (9in) loose-bottomed tart tin. Chill for 20 minutes.
Spread the caramel over the base. Chill until ready to serve.
Slice the bananas and scatter over the base. Spoon the cream over the bananas. Top with cocoa or grated chocolate.
