Red apple hooch bowla
Ingredients
- Ice
- 150ml whiskey, premium quality
- 2 red apples, cored and sliced, plus more for garnish
- 120ml cinnamon simple syrup, recipe follows
- 60ml apple schnapps
- 360ml cranberry juice
- Splash sweet and sour mix
- Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
For the cinnamon simple syrup:
- 475ml water
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 330g granulated sugar
Method
How to make Red apple hooch bowla
1) Fill a large jug or bowl with ice. Add the whiskey, apples, cinnamon syrup and apple schnapps. Pour in cranberry juice and splash of sweet and sour mix.
2) Pour into glasses and garnish with cinnamon sticks and red apple slices.
Cinnamon simple syrup:
1) In a small saucepan add the water and cinnamon and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10 minutes.
2) Strain out the cinnamon sticks and bring the water back to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until it is dissolved.
3) Cool before using. Will keep for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
