Whiskey hot and sour

  • 60ml bourbon whiskey
  • 30ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15ml simple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1 tsp egg white
  • Crushed ice
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce
  • Orange slice and halved serrano chilli pepper, for garnish
Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker and shake well so the egg white can emulsify. Add crushed ice and hot sauce, continue shaking to chill.

Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of orange and a chilli half.
