Zentini (Ginger martini)
Ingredients
- 60ml vodka
- 60ml zentini syrup, recipe follows
- Small sprig fresh mint
- 1/2 lime, juiced
For the zentini syrup:
- 960ml water
- Small piece fresh ginger, sliced into coins
- 450g sugar
Method
How to make Zentini (Ginger martini)
1) To a martini shaker add the vodka, zentini syrup, mint and lime juice.
2) Shake and serve in a chilled martini glass.
Zentini syrup:
1) In a small saucepan, add the water, ginger and sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
2) Continue to simmer until reduced to a simple syrup, about 20 minutes. When ready, strain and transfer to a glass container and allow to cool to room temperature.
